Dr Jemma King
Human Behaviour, Stress Expert. University of Queensland Research Fellow, Director of Biopsychanalytics Pty Ltd
As Goodwill Ambassador for the Emile Foundation, she draws on her expertise to highlight how the trauma of war shapes not only a child’s present, but their capacity to thrive, connect, and lead in the future.
“As a stress researcher, I know the trauma inflicted on children rewrites their DNA, creating wounds that echo for generations. The biological scars of war do not respect borders, and neither should our compassion. Protecting the most vulnerable is not just a moral choice, it is a shared responsibility that transcends nationality, for the cost of this trauma will be borne emotionally, physically, spiritually, and financially by us all.”
