Hope and Healing: Supporting Children in War-Torn Ukraine
18/02/2025
In the first two weeks of January, Emile Foundation‘s ground team has traveled over 6,000 km, visiting 30+ settlements across four regions of Ukraine. We’ve evacuated individuals from conflict zones, helped them find new homes, and provided personalised support for each child.
Many of the children we assisted have faced severe trauma, losing parents or struggling with depression and speech issues. To bring them joy, we consulted with guardians and carefully chose meaningful gifts, thanks to a generous donation from the Council of Europe. Every action we took aimed at improving their lives.
These numbers reflect the real change made possible by our partners and donors.
Winter is Coming: from the Netherlands to the liberated Kherson Oblast
19/11/2022
In Fall 2022, our organisation launched a large Winter is Coming campaign and collected 16.7 tons of winter clothes, boots and blankets from the international schools community around The Hague in the Netherlands.
Our truck then travelled all the way to the Kherson Oblast just a couple of days after its liberation. After days of coordination to be able to go through the checkpoints and broken bridges, our team was finally able to make it to the town of Beryslav, a village 80kms north of Kherson and just across the river from the new frontline. There, the civilians barely survived through occupation and regular shelling. No need to say how happy they were to see a first humanitarian convoy reach their village.
During the next 10 days, our team also facilitated the evacuation of some civilians from Beryslav to Mykolaiv, Kryvyi Rih and Odessa… further away from the shelling.
