INTERNATIONAL DIPLOMACY

The World Needs to Know

Since the full-scale invasion in February 2022, Ukraine has been in the news every day. Thousands of volunteers have helped, one way or another, and many countries have expressed their support for the Ukrainian population.

Yet, the war goes on. Children are dying every day. Families are struggling to have access to food, medicine and general psychological support. And many Ukrainian children are still separated from their families, some of them even held in Russian detention centres.

This is why Emile Foundation runs awareness campaigns and travels the world’s most influential forums, in order to give these children and families a voice.

International Conferences

In order to bring the topic to as many people as possible, it is important for our team to report back to large conferences about the reality on the ground.

These conferences are attended by field experts, government representatives and other people of influence who need to know the actual details of the issue in order to create change.

Awareness Campaigns

As children across Europe were making their way back to their schools in September 2024, our organisation (then still named Orphans Feeding Foundation ! OFF) unveiled the international “Back2School But Not For Them” campaign, addressing the critical issue of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia.

In partnership with JCDecaux, digital outdoor advertisements could be seen in the UK and the Netherlands, delivering an important message: as children worldwide return to school, nearly 20,000 Ukrainian children remain forcibly separated from their homes, families, and education.

This campaign showed our dedication to raising awareness globally about the pressing issue of child abduction and to support efforts in returning these children to Ukraine, reaching more than 4 million people on their way to work… or school, and even more thanks to the specific segment on BBC News.

A New Diplomacy

We believe that if the right people know about an issue, miracles can be achieved.

This is why we reach out to many international decision makers to seek further support, directly or indirectly. We have presented our findings and suggested our approach at the European Parliament, but also the parliaments of the UK, France, and the Netherlands. We have met with many US senators and congressmen, and UN representatives of more than 20 nations.

But to reach even further support, we also turn towards nations like India or Brazil, where we have met with dozens of senators and congress members such as Senator Flavio Nogueira, vice-president of the Parliamentary Front, and received great support.
