Emile Foundation Opens Permanent Office in Kyiv

This week, the Emile Foundation opened a new chapter with the opening of our permanent office in Kyiv.

This is more than an office. It is a place where families affected by war know they will be welcomed, listened to and supported.

For years, our team has worked alongside families across Ukraine, often meeting wherever we could—from frontline communities to temporary meeting spaces in Kyiv. Today, we finally have a dedicated home where legal assistance, case management, psychological support and family consultations can take place in a safe, confidential environment.

In just the first days, our office has already welcomed families, supported ongoing reunification cases, completed legal documentation and hosted international media interviews to keep attention on the unlawful transfer and deportation of Ukrainian children.

Every family who walks through our doors reminds us why this work matters. Reuniting children with their families is not a single moment—it is a journey that requires trust, compassion and long-term support every step of the way.

Our new office also has a very special guardian: Dany, the Emile Foundation teddy bear, named after the first child we helped bring home in 2023. Dany represents hope, resilience and the belief that every child deserves to grow up safely with their family.

As we continue to expand our work, our next goal is to create a dedicated sensory and counselling room where children and families can receive specialised trauma-informed care from our team of psychologists, in an environment designed for healing.

To every family who has trusted us, every partner who has stood beside us, and every supporter who believes in our mission—thank you.

This office belongs to all of you, and most importantly, to the families who need it.

Together, we will continue working until every child has the opportunity to come home.

💛💙
