SkyShield France – Protecting civilians and children is a collective responsibility

Last night, the Emile Foundation had the honour to participate in the SkyShield event in Paris, a strong and urgent call to accelerate air-defence support for Ukraine.

🛡️SkyShield saves lives

Every night, hundreds of Russian drones and missiles strike Ukrainian cities.
Since the beginning of the invasion, more than 40,000 long-range missiles and drones have hit the country.
93% of these strikes deliberately target civilian infrastructure.

Air defence protects civilians, prevents further abductions of Ukrainian children, and gives Ukraine the capacity to defend its people from daily attacks.

SkyShield is not optional; it is a moral and political necessity.

A closed sky to prevent children abductions

Speaking  in front of nearly 1000 participants: policymakers, experts, media, citizens, Mariam Lambert acknowledged:

“The abduction of Ukrainian children begins when towns and cities fall, and when protection ends.”

At Emile Foundation, we were proud to stand alongside many committed actors working every day to protect Ukrainian lives.

Our deep gratitude to the exceptional #SkyShield France team for making this mobilisation possible:

Philippe Moreau, Xavier Tytelman, Frédéric PETIT, Robin Gastaldi and Nadia Smet.

The Emile Foundation will continue its mission and is asking your support to:

-Reunite children with their families

-Advocate for the return of every kidnapped Ukrainian child

🇺🇦🇫🇷 Together, we are stronger. Together, we protect lives.
