The topic of abducted children brought up on SiriusXM’s POTUS
Mariam Lambert explains on SiriusXM’s POTUS that the systemic abduction of Ukrainian children is not humanitarian protection. It is a coordinated system of child removal carried out under the guise of rescue.
As Mariam Lambert, Co-Founder and CEO of the Emile Foundation, shared on SiriusXM ’s POTUS, “Ukrainian children taken by Russia are not abandoned or forgotten. They are not orphans. They have families — mothers searching every day, sisters and brothers waiting, grandmothers holding onto hope.”
The Emile Foundation works to make one thing clear: these children belong with their families, and returning them home is not optional. It is a moral and legal obligation.
A race against time
Every day these children remain missing is a violation of their rights and identity — and a theft of their future.
Silence allows this to continue. Accountability and action can help stop it. We owe these families more than sympathy. We owe them action.
A coordinated system
Children are taken from classrooms, hospitals, and care facilities — separated from families and communities — then moved across borders without consent, transparency, or a path home.
“The Russians begin to ‘evacuate’ children… They go to schools, institutions, hospitals, kindergartens — and they take these children to ‘save them from the war.’”
The Emile Foundation works to expose this reality and push back against the narrative that forced removal is anything but a violation of international law and basic human rights.
Words like “evacuation” do not change the facts. These children were taken. And they must be returned.
